COMMUNITY
Stronger Neighbourhoods
Investing in parks, recreation, and public spaces that bring community together — from young families to long-time residents.
I'm Stacey Lepine-Fisher, and I'm running for City Councillor in Ward 2. Together we'll build a Pickering that listens to its neighbours, leads with integrity, and delivers results residents can see.

MY PROMISE TO MY PICKERING NEIGHBOURS
Real conversations on the doorstep, at the kitchen table, and in community spaces — because every voice in Ward 2 matters.
Principled, transparent leadership at City Hall — bringing residents, businesses, and neighbours to the same table.
Turning promises into outcomes: safer streets, smarter growth, and services Pickering families can rely on.
MEET STACEY
Stacey Lepine-Fisher has called Pickering home since 1998. With her husband, she raised their two sons here — first in Ward 1 and then in Ward 2, where the family has lived for more than 20 years.
Pickering is more than where Stacey lives — it's where her family put down roots, where lifelong friendships were formed, and where she built a deep commitment to community service. From local schools and sports fields to neighbourhood events and small businesses, she understands the issues facing residents because she has lived them alongside her neighbours.
For more than 30 years, Stacey has dedicated her career to strengthening communities and creating opportunities for children, youth, and families. Her work has focused on bringing people together, removing barriers, building partnerships, and helping people reach their full potential.
She has been recognized as a collaborative leader who turns ideas into action — playing a key role in researching and developing comprehensive strategies to address poverty-related barriers impacting students and families across Durham Region. By bringing together community organizations, educators, government partners, and local leaders, she helped create practical solutions that improved access to food, clothing, recreation, school supports, and essential services for thousands of children and families.
Her commitment to community extends far beyond her professional work. Stacey has devoted countless volunteer hours to governance and community leadership roles, including serving as President of the College of Early Childhood Educators, Vice President of Durham Children's Aid Society, Chair of Angel Investors Durham, Co-Founder of the Durham Affordable Access to Recreation Committee, and a member of the Durham Best Start Committee.
Her expertise has also been recognized at regional and provincial levels through appointments to Ministry of Education advisory committees, post-secondary advisory committees, mental health and family support initiatives, and cross-sector leadership tables focused on improving outcomes for children, youth, and families.
Throughout every role, Stacey has built a reputation for listening, building consensus, and delivering results. She believes the best solutions are developed when people work together, respect different perspectives, and focus on what matters most.
Today, Stacey is running for Pickering City Council because she believes local government should be accessible, accountable, and responsive to the people it serves. Residents want safe neighbourhoods, responsible growth, vibrant public spaces, strong community connections, and a voice that is heard at City Hall.
As your City Councillor, Stacey will bring thoughtful leadership, practical solutions, and a genuine commitment to serving the people of Pickering. She believes leadership starts with listening and that trust is earned through action.
Most importantly, Stacey believes decisions should be guided by the people who live, work, raise families, and build businesses in our community.
"I love Pickering. This community has given so much to my family over the years, and I believe it deserves leadership that is approachable, accountable, and committed to putting people first. I am running because I care deeply about our future and want to help build a city that is safe, welcoming, inclusive, and full of opportunity for everyone."
